Ulysses 31
It is the thirty-first century. Ulysses killed the giant Cyclopse when he rescued the children and his son, Telemachus. But the ancient gods of Olympus are angry and threaten a terrible revenge.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. If I have learnt one thing in this life, and that is not to piss the Gods off. But oh no, Ulyssess being the rebel he is, decides to gob in their coffee and call their mothers a whore.
OK, he didn’t go that far, but he did upset them a tad. And as a revenge, they made the rest of his crew lifeless as stone, until he finds the Kingdom of Hades.
Now something that puzzles me is that there are four people on Ulysses ship that are still in control of their body parts. There is of course Ulysses, his son Telemachus, Yumi, and No-no the strange robot things. If I was the gods, I’d make sure that Ulysses is the only one with a steady brain pattern on the ship. Think about it. If you had the power of the Gods, wouldn’t you want to have as much revenge as possible? Freeze them all, not just a select few. Cause Ulysses to go completely barmy by making so lonely that he ends up talking to dust particles.
But, oh no. The Gods are thick. They let him have what he wants, his son. I say turn Telemachus into a rock, that’ll teach Ulysses. Anyway, I’m beginning to rant now.
I never thought that anyone could possibly over-act in a cartoon. Ulysses 31 proved me wrong though. I think the intention is to stir the emotion. To be perfectly honest though, all the “Ahhh’s” and “Ohhhh’s” twinned with the over-the-top music just makes me look at the TV screen with an expression that I would usually direct towards my dog when it has let a sly one rip.
Nether the less, it’s still entertaining. And as for the theme music, well what can I say? I’ve been humming the bugger for the past week.
This cartoon was what coming home from school was all about.
