The first show was broadcast on 13th September 1969. I know it's not exactly the 80s, or the 70s come to think of it, but it was definately part of my childhood.

A CD is available titled Tunes From The Toons, that contains the theme music to all your favourite Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
It contains the theme music from Dastardly & Muttley, Top Cat, Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, Huckleberry Hound, Perils Of Penelope Pitstop, Snooper & Blabber, The Jetsons, Hair Bear Bunch, Secret Squirrel, Hong Kong Phooey, Josie & The Pussycats, Scooby Doo, The New Scooby Doo Movies, Touche Turtle, Wally Gator, Pixie & Dixie, Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, Hokey Wolf, Augie Doggie, Yakky Doodle, Lippy The Lion & Hardy Har Har, Wacky Races, and The Banana Splits.
It should still be available in most music stores. Not to give names away, I picked up mine in HMV. If they don’t have it now, chances are that it is now out of print.
